Our Education and Training Qualifications

Our education and training qualifications have been around for over a decade starting from PTLLS, CTLLS and DTLLS awards. The teacher trainer courses will enable you to understand pedagogy and balance theories and practice. Achieving the Level 5 Diploma in Teaching (Further Education and Skills) will enable you to apply for QTLS. Holders of QTLS are recognised as qualified teachers in the United Kingdom.

QTLS and the Society for Education and Training

In order to apply and achieve QTLS you will need to contact the Society of Education and Training. There is no such a thing called a QTLS Course or qualification. QTLS can only be met by applying directly to the Society of Education and Training (SET) as a member. As part of gaining QTLS you will need to go through professional formation for about 4 to 6 months where you will need to prove you have practised as a teacher and embraced all 20 professional standards. SET will normally expect you to be teaching for a minimum 2 hours per week. Gain a Teaching Qualification

Our teaching courses are delivered by distance (online), classroom and blended learning. You do not need a degree to be able to qualify as a teacher. As long as you can meet the minimum requirements when it comes to teaching hours, basic literacy and numeracy you can enrol on any of our teacher training courses. We also offer placements to candidates who have skills and experience of teaching the courses we deliver.

  This course is designed for candidates who are thinking of starting a teaching career or those who have limited access to teaching opportunities. The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) has replaced both the Level 3 and 4 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector (PTLLS) awards.

  Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF)

  This course is mainly for people who can evidence at least 30 hours of teaching. This Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET) Course replaces the old Level 3 Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector and the Level 4 Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector qualifications (CTLLS).
